HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE A VAT
REFUND?
This depends on the various Tax offices.
WHAT COSTS ARE INVOLVED?
THERE
ARE NO COSTS INVOLVED.
Our aim is to turn our client’s expenses
into cash and to save them money. We only
take a percentage of the VAT that gets
reclaimed back from the authorities. This is
a free service offered to our valuable
clients. THERE ARE NO
HIDDEN COSTS.
WILL I EVER RECEIVE MY ORIGINAL INVOICES
BACK?
All the original invoices (VAT authorities
permitting) will be returned to you once the
refund has been paid and the invoices have
come back from the VAT authorities to AVR. Photocopies
will be taken in place of the originals
while the claim is being processed.
ARE THERE DEADLINES AND LIMITS FOR CLAIMING?
Each year there are two major deadlines:
-
JUNE DEADLINE
– All the European Union Countries
-
DECEMBER DEADLINE
– United Kingdom
If a claim is lodged after a deadline it
will be rejected with no exceptions; however
our dedicated staff will assist you in this
process to ensure that your claims are
submitted before the deadline.
WHAT COUNTRIES CAN WE CLAIM FROM AND HOW FAR
BACK CAN WE GO?
Each country has different rules as to how
far one can go back. It can be anywhere in
the range of one year to five years
depending on the country in question.
Rulings are always changing and reciprocity
is granted to different countries so you
will have to ask the AVR representative in
your country as to what countries you are
able to claim from.
IS YOUR COMPANY ELIGIBLE?
Any overseas business traveler is eligible
provided that:
-
Your company is registered outside the
country from which you are claiming.
-
You are visiting the country for
business purposes.
-
Your company is not registered for VAT
in the country from which you are
claiming.
-
NOTE: If your company is based within
the European Union, it must be
registered for VAT in the home country.
